How To Go To Kanye West Sunday Service

Kanye West'southward religious choir and prayer performance group Dominicus Service has been popping up across the U.s..

The rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, fashion designer (and potentially now preacher) has held events in California, Ohio, Chicago, Miami, Georgia, Wyoming, Utah, Washington DC and even Coachella.

So, what is Dominicus Service? Here's your shortcut guide.

Is it a church?

No. At least, not withal.

It's essentially people gathering for song and prayer — so the hallmarks of a church building — merely it's not registered under the United States Code to make information technology an official one.

West's married woman, Kim Kardashian West, described it as more than of a musical ministry and Christian service that talks about Jesus and God.

For the time being, W doesn't seem to want to call information technology anything other than Sun Service (which he applied to accept trademarked, BTW).

He applied to build a "meditation construction" on his ranch near Cody, Wyoming.

The application was denied after a terminal-infinitesimal change to the building plans that included a residential space.

Information technology's not clear if the residential space would take meant an extra room tacked on, or whether he wanted to add an entire firm onto the plans.

When did it beginning?

At the start of January, 2019.

West began holding one-hour sessions every Sunday at different locations — his home or a rehearsal studio.

That led to performances in fields, amphitheatres, stadiums, festivals and in one case in a Houston jail.

Sometimes he even hosts popular-up services at established churches.

What happens at a Dominicus Service?

Westward, a choir, musicians and sometimes a guest performer sing songs focused on worship and non-traditional hymns, too as reworked gospel versions of songs by Due west, No Doubt and Nirvana.

Information technology turns out the trademark had been snapped upward by a New York-based DJ named Jeff Jonas dorsum in 2014.

What would West have done with information technology anyhow?

According to the trademark awarding, sell clothes.

If successful, West's Sun Service trademark would have applied to shirts, pants, shoes, hats, jackets, scarves and socks.

Every bit for Jeff Jonas — aka DJ Escape — he's putting the trademark to use past spinning the decks at Brooklyn clubs.
